Our Journey

Our History

Global Indian Council is incorporated in the State of Texas as a nonprofit, nonreligious and nonpolitical organization giving equal opportunity for people who would like to give back to the community. It was incorporated on May 1, 2022 and was inaugurated by Atlanta Consul General Dr. Swathi Kulkarni and the officials including myself was sworn in by Hon. Former Ambassador Pradeep Kapoor.

More than thirty (30) million people of Indian origin are abroad and connecting them to a great network spreading to countries across the world including India is not an easy task.

Travelling at the age of 24 to Mumbai and then to Middle East (Bahrain) for livelihood, and later arrived in USA with family of 3 children, I believed that my problems to survive might be the same for many. Otherwise, it might differ a bit, but they all have struggle to settle in a foreign country. While striving for existence, the passion for helping others became prominent in me. Out of my earned experience from school, college, University Union and University Senate, and the social life from my village Kaviyoor, Kerala, India, realized that giving a helping and to fellow men is essential. It gave me enormous energy to my mind and body. Once the idea came to my mind around in the year of 2020, I have shared it with my friends and acquaintances within USA and across the countries. I could successfully connect many ideal persons through them one by one, and now, we have more than 100 founding members to full fill our mission. They are the current founding Cabinet Members, Chairs and Co-Chairs of Center of Excellence, Executive Council Members, Founding Members, Brand Ambassadors, and the sole Goodwill Ambassador. Those who joins us the first time in any of the GIC Chapter, National or Global Committee directly or indirectly will be considered as the founding member of that committee.

Indian Community around the world had proved as one of the hard working and culture embracing communities maintaining the values. They have showed their leadership and proved that they obey the law of the country they live, and they are helpful to others.

This statement makes sense to me that NO ONE IS BORN AS A GREAT PERSON BUT BECOME GREAT BY HIS/HER CONSISTENT WORK OR ACTION BASED ON PURSUING A GREAT VISION AND MISSION.

A network organization with 4 levels such as global, national, state and chapters giving a strong brand name of India to connect, support, promote, and empower youth, students, and professionals to benefit the society is our aim.

Holding our culture and great values of love, respect and helping each other with our resources individually or collectively, we will be able to make a difference.

Warm welcome to Global Indian Council Inc.

"NOT ALL OF US CAN DO GREAT THINGS. BUT WE CAN DO SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE."
