About This Program
On August 23, 2025, GIC hosted a dignified virtual celebration marking the 79th anniversary of India's Independence. The event honored the spirit of freedom while celebrating unity, service, and cultural diversity across the global Indian diaspora.
Colonel Beena Vijaykumar delivered the keynote Independence Day message. Reflections and felicitations followed from GIC leaders and chapter representatives in Dallas, New York, Kenya, Texas, and other regions.
The program was moderated by Ms. Preethy Pynadath and concluded with a vote of thanks from Associate Treasurer Tom George Kolath.
